Tassar Hazaar Buti in kora

A classic saree in a natural tassar texture with jamdani dot buti motif all over the surface of the saree in kora / ivory. The pallu has a woven wash in subtle gold zari. 

What is Tassar ?

Tassar , with a rich natural gold colour, is a type of pure silk which is characterized by shorter fibre of the yarn, which makes it more textured. The silk cocoon collected from the forest is more textured than a cultivated Mulberry silk (which is made from silkworms feeding on Mulberry leaves) . What makes a tassar stand out , is the sheen, texture and the range of natural colours available.
