This year, we invite you to take a behind the scenes look at our Riyaz – where practice becomes instinct. For the first time in our brand’s history, we have talked about not just the external themes, but the underlying internal principle that has guided us.
On the surface, this festive collection is about opulence, apparel as artwork, the joy and freedom of wandering, rich pigment and elegance. But in the creation of each piece of this collection, there has been a moment where the Riyaz of technique and craft has taken a spontaneous leap and become Art.
Looking inwards, it is about the thought that goes into every detail of our finished product – from colour theory and interaction to use of yarn to one of a kind Boro, to the mathematics behind the weave of jamdani, motif spacing and placement and most importantly , our signature use of woven colour blocks.
Crafts and skills evolve over time, yet handwoven, handmade apparel are timeless. Each piece made lovingly for this launch, is intended to be loved and to last forever, to be passed on from generation to generation, to transcend geographies and speak to wearers across the world.
