What is Ikat ?
Ikat is a dyeing technique originating in South East Asia ;  where the pattern is formed on resist dyeing,  by tying bundles of yarn prior to weaving to makes patterns and motifs. When the dyeing is complete, the tied portions are removed and the yarn is ready for weaving on the handloom.
