Tagore woven gold blouse

TAGORE, is our newly introduced woven gold blouse with bengali 'ghoti haath' puff gathered sleeves. Woven in golden yellow zari, this blouse is high on shine in an antique zari finish. 

We love how this style of blouse reminds us of the women of the Tagore household. Especially Jnanadanandini Devi, Rabindranath Tagore's sister in law who started introducing western elements like sleeves, ribbons, brooches and Victorian sleeves to her blouses. She even wore jackets, capes and shawl collars. The reinvention of the saree , in ways that we continue to wear today, was said to be started by her, as a reformation.
