Remember that song from ‘The Sound of Music’ sung by Julie Andrews ?
That was 1965. But each time you hear it , you want to break into a jive, because ….
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things.
Our summer classic collection ‘Raindrops and Roses’ is an ode to that classic song ; handwoven summer pastels and sorbet coloured cotton muslins and linens in shades of custard yellow, green tea, mint, ginger, saffron and washed blue. Lime green comes forth with tangerine and lemon. The occasional gold and silver zari woven in the fabric, pops out in stripes and detailing.
A breezy line of summer separates apt for the lazy days of summer siesta and idle afternoons.
