A classic saree in a natural tassar silk base with red selvedge detail. The pallu has a woven wash in silver zari. This is an organic variety of silk, and we have used the natural available shade of yarn without the use of any dyestuff.
What is Tassar ?
Tassar , with a rich natural gold colour, is a type of pure silk which is characterized by shorter fibre of the yarn, which makes it more textured. The silk cocoon collected from the forest is more textured than a cultivated Mulberry silk (which is made from silkworms feeding on Mulberry leaves) . What makes a tassar stand out , is the sheen, texture and the range of natural colours available.
